David Meyler's first goal for Hull City has given the away side a 1-0 lead over Watford at the break at Vicarage Road.
It was the visitors who produced the first chance of the afternoon, as a clever one-two between Stephen Quinn and Jay Simpson resulted in the former firing his effort just past the post.
The Tigers were forced into making their first substitution on the half-hour mark, when Paul McShane was replaced by Jack Hobbs.
The first half didn't possess many clear chances, but Hull tried their luck twice towards the break, as Manuel Almunia held Robert Koren's placed effort.
Then Ahmed Elmohamady's cross found Meyler, but he failed to get his strike on target for the away side.
However, Hull's late pressure was rewarded when Cory Evans's effort came back off the bar, before Meyler headed in his first goal for the club.
