Watford and Brighton & Hove Albion go into the break with the scores locked at 0-0 in their Championship match this afternoon.
The game's first real chance fell to Brighton striker Chris O'Grady, who did well to burst into the box but his shot from a tight angle was too close to Watford keeper Huerelho Gomes.
Joao Carlos Teixeira then rose highest to meet a cross from the left but, unfortunately for under-pressure Brighton manager Sami Hyypia, he couldn't generate enough power to direct his header goalwards.
Watford almost went in front when Gianni Munari looped a header towards goal but Brighton keeper David Stockdale was there to gratefully clutch the ball to his chest.
