Etienne Capoue has revealed that his relationship with Watford manager Quique Flores is similar to that between a father and son.
The 27-year-old joined the Hornets from Tottenham Hotspur last year following the team's promotion into the Premier League.
Flores was appointed as manager one month before, but there are rumblings that the Spaniard will be replaced in the summer following just three league wins in 2016.
"[His future] is none of my business, I just do my job, but he has had a very good season and he's a good manager," Sky Sports News quotes Capoue as saying. "We have a special relationship. It's more human than just talking about football.
"That's what helped to push me on. He's a human being and understands me and I understand him. It's a simple relationship. We talk about anything outside football. We try to know each other and what we like. It's like a dad and son, or a big brother and small brother. We have the same relationship."
Watford are 12th in the league table with four games left to play.
