New Watford manager Roy Hodgson believes that the club will be able to avoid relegation this season.
The former England boss came out of retirement to take charge of the Hornets, making him the third man to have that role within this campaign following Xisco Munoz and Claudio Ranieri.
The club currently finds themselves 19th in the table, being two points away from Norwich City, who sit just above the relegation zone right now.
"It is more than possible. I would not have accepted the challenge had I not believed we could help the club stay in the Premier League," Hodgson told the press.
"The proof of the pudding is in the eating and it is important the players react well and they can produce the level of performances that are going to be necessary."
Hodgson's first game in charge of Watford will take place on Saturday when they face Burnley in a crucial relegation battle. body check tags ::
