Watford defender Adrian Mariappa is reportedly due to have a medical at Reading today ahead of a proposed move to the Madejski Stadium.
The 25-year-old has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, with Southampton and Wigan Athletic touted as possible destinations for the Championship player.
Despite interest from a host of clubs in the Premier League, it is understood that Mariappa has opted for a move to Reading and will complete a medical today, according to Sky Sports News.
The Royals initially had a £2m bid for the player rejected by the Hornets.
