West Bromwich Albion striker Brown Ideye has described his fellow Nigerian Nwankwo Kanu as a mentor.
Ideye netted twice for the Baggies in their 4-0 win over West Ham United to help his side progress to the FA Cup quarter-finals, and he now hopes to play at Wembley in order to emulate Kanu.
He told reporters: "I watched the FA Cup as a kid and for me it's a dream come true to be here and have this win to move onto the next stage.
"For me Kanu is like a mentor. In Nigeria he is one of the big players that everybody looks up to so I am happy that we used to talk. He calls me sometimes and I get some advice from him because I know he played here too.
"To play at Wembley would be a dream come true. There is Wembley and the Maracana in Brazil. Every player wants to play in the iconic stadiums and that is one of them."
Ideye has scored four goals in his last three games.
