Morgan Amalfitano has handed West Bromwich Albion a 1-0 lead over Norwich City at the halfway stage of their Premier League clash at Carrow Road.
West Brom produced some good moves in the early stages of the match, with both Amalfitano and Graham Dorrans shooting wide of the Norwich goal.
The Baggies were rewarded for their bright start to the contest in the 16th minute when Amalfitano was gifted space by Martin Olsson's slip, and he took advantage to make it two goals in as many games with a low finish from the edge of the box.
Stephane Sessegnon and Matej Vydra linked well in advanced positions throughout the first half, and the duo came close to creating a second goal for their side when the latter saw a powerful effort tipped to safety by John Ruddy following a counter-attack.
Norwich could have been level before the break, but Ben Foster was alert to push Johan Elmander's header to safety.
