The Football Association have confirmed that they will investigate Nicolas Anelka's goal celebration.
The West Bromwich Albion striker made the 'quenelle' gesture, described by some as an inverted Nazi salute, used by controversial French comedian Dieudonne M'bala M'bala.
Following claims that the 34-year-old's celebration was anti-Semitic, West Brom caretaker manager Kevin Downing told BBC Sport: "It has got nothing to do what is being said. It is absolute rubbish. It is dedicated to a French comedian he knows very, very well."
Anelka scored a brace during the 3-3 draw.
