West Bromwich Albion keeper Ben Foster has admitted that this season was a disappointment for his side.
The Baggies narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League as they finished in 17th place, just three points from the drop zone.
"It was a disappointing season from start to finish, really, we know we need to do a lot better and we should expect a lot better from ourselves," Foster told the club's official website.
"But the main thing is that we've stayed in the league and that's all that matters. Hopefully we can learn the lessons from this season."
Pepe Mel's side lost their last game of the season as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Stoke City at The Hawthorns.
