West Bromwich Albion's Tony Pulis wants £10 cap on away tickets in Premier League

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis says that away tickets for Premier League games should be capped at £10.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has called for a £10 cap on away tickets in the Premier League next season.

The issue of prices in top-flight football came into the spotlight once again in the last couple of weeks when Liverpool announced that category A matches at Anfield will cost £77 in the 2016-17 campaign.

After approximately 10,000 fans walked out of the stadium during the Reds' 2-2 draw against Sunderland last week in protest, Liverpool's owners Fenway Sports Group issued an apology and announced that ticket prices would be frozen for the next two seasons.

Pulis has now proposed that away fans should only be charged £10 for away matches in the top flight.

"Next year with the enormous amounts of money available, there should be a way of looking after supporters," Pulis told reporters.

"Every club in the Premier League should agree an away price, and make it as cheap as possible. Everyone charges £10 for an away ticket, my chairman will kill me for that, but a price that would attract people to come.

"If Man United came here we would charge their fans £10 and we could do the same at Old Trafford. That would make it a good start."

Meanwhile, Pulis's team are preparing for Saturday's match against Everton at The Hawthorns.
