Wigan Athletic officials are reportedly finding it difficult to convince Franco di Santo to commit his future to the club.
The 23-year-old Argentinian forward has been an integral part of Roberto Martinez's side this season, scoring three of the club's 10 Premier League goals.
Both parties are understood to be keen for the player to extend his current contract, which expires at the end of the season.
However, according to The Mirror, Di Santo is unhappy at the terms of the current deal on the table and he is prepared to leave the DW Stadium if an improved offer is not made.
A number of clubs in Spain are said to be interested in signing the former Chelsea man.
