Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg reached the quarter-finals of the DFB-Pokal by brushing aside RB Leipzig in tonight's last-16 tie at Red Bull Arena.
Both sides went close in the early stages and second-tier Leipzig especially wasted chances to go in front before Wolfsburg took the lead.
The opener arrived on the 20-minute mark when Daniel Caligiuri dipped a powerful shot home from 15 yards after being rolled in by Kevin de Bruyne.
Wolfsburg then sat quite comfortably on their lead before doubling it in the 57th minute through Timm Klose, who thumped in a header from Marcel Schafer's corner.
Wolfsburg, currently second in the Bundesliga, are looking to win the DFB-Pokal for the first time after reaching the final on just one occasion in 1995.
