Neither York City nor Shrewsbury Town have been able to break the deadlock in the first half, despite the visitors dominating in terms of chances.
Micky Mellon's side were fairly accurate, with only one of their seven shots not hitting the target but were unable to convert.
York tried to get a foot in the door to establish themselves in the game but it was Shrewsbury who looked the stronger team.
Shrewsbury will be looking to capitalise on their several chances as they sit one place below the playoff places.
