Artyom Dzyuba's early goal has given Zenit St Petersburg a slender 1-0 lead at half time over Lyon in their Champions League Group H game.
Zenit pounced on a third-minute mistake by Christophe Jallet to go ahead, as Dzyuba coolly finished Oleg Shatov's precise through-ball from 18 yards out.
The visitors almost levelled midway through the half as Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa sent a powerful volley towards goal, but Mikhail Kerzhakov kept it out.
Dzyuba then scuffed a shot over the bar under pressure before Anthony Lopes tipped a strong Hulk strike wide.
