Cameroon weightlifter Cyrille Fagat has confirmed that he is a fan of Aberdeen, after wearing a hat featuring the club's badge to the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.
He has been training at Aberdeen Sports Village in preparation for the Games, and went to their Europa League match against FC Groningen last week, having received the hat from team volunteer Eilidh Rankin.
When asked if he was a fan of the club, he told Aberdeen Evening Express: "Of course, yes. I can see many people noticed me with that. I wore it because Eilidh was so nice to me and is my friend. I hope I will be famous in the competition too."
The Dons play the second leg of their Europa League tie later today.
