Inter Milan's injured club captain Javier Zanetti has insisted that Massimo Moratti will remain an important influence at the club despite selling his share of the club.
Moratti's 70% stake in Inter was purchased by Indonesian tycoon Erick Thohir earlier this week, but Zanetti said that the Italian still has a role to play.
"I believe that our president is still there and always will be," Gazzetta dello Sport quotes Zanetti as saying.
"I think after this long negotiation Moratti has seen that these investors are required for the long-term success of the club. They, along with our president, will take Inter forward."
Zanetti has just returned to training following the Achilles tendon injury he suffered last season.
