Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham has revealed that he has formed a friendship with basketball legend Michael Jordan.
The former England international, who has adopted the jersey number 23 since his Real Madrid days because of Jordan, has claimed that the former NBA star has been giving him restaurant tips.
"I actually spoke to [Jordan] the other day," Beckham told ESPN. "I was at their party and he said, 'You know let's just exchange numbers and we'll speak to each other'.
"And then I called him up, I think I was in Washington, and I said, 'I know you've spent a bit of time here, I need a restaurant. Can you tell me a nice Italian restaurant?' And he told me a great Italian restaurant.
"My friend was like, 'C'mon really? Really? Usually you call a directory for a restaurant. Now you are calling Michael Jordan.' It's funny."
Meanwhile, Jordan has been banned from a Miami country club for not wearing the correct attire.
