Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has reportedly rejected a deal with a major publisher in favour of writing his own autobiography alone.
The 32-year-old's book was expected to be published in November, but now it is unclear after Barton made a number of changes.
Back in April, Barton reportedly dropped ghost writer Matthew Syed and now it is believed that he will go down a different route.
According to the Daily Star, Barton plans to release his book online first and has been taking creative writing lessons so that he can pen his musings on his own.
The former Newcastle United midfielder is also said to have rejected the chance to work with author Jeff Hudson.
