Catalan Dragons beat Wakefield Wildcats with two dramatic late tries.

Catalan Dragons have dramatically beaten Wakefield Trinity Wildcats with a late comeback.

The first try took 14 minutes to come and it went to the visitors, Richard Mathers putting the points on the board before Paul Sykes kicked the extras.

They went further ahead six minutes later with Peter Fox going over the line but this time Sykes missed the conversion.

They went further ahead with a Dean Collis try converted by Sykes and the lead was 16.

Mathias Pala clawed a try back for the Catalans with eight minutes of the first half remaining and Thomas Bosc kicked the points.

Gregory Mounis notched a converted try before the break, leaving Dragons just four behind.

In the second half Damian Blanch levelled the scores before Wilcats went back in front with Lee Smith's converted try.

However, there was to be a late comeback. First Blanch went over the line, with Bosc converting, before the latter kicked a drop goal to put the Dragons 23-22 up.

A final Jason Baitieri converted try wrapped up a dramatic win.
