Bath have completed the signing of New Zealand international Stephen Donald from Super 15 side Chiefs.
The 27-year-old fly-half moves to the Rec on a three-year deal, originally thought to be two and a half.
"We are very much looking forward to Stephen joining us here at Bath," said director of rugby Sir Ian McGeechan.
"Players he has played alongside all speak very highly of his ability and in particular his character, and we expect him to fit in very well here."
The All Black's move to the west country was in doubt due to work permit issues, but an appeal by Bath to the RFU ensured his arrival went through.
