Bath Rugby's unbeaten start to the season has ended with an 18-15 loss at home to Northampton Saints.
Bath took an early 5-0 lead as quick thinking from Tom Biggs deep in the Saints half set Nick Abendanon through for an early score.
The most part of the game was dominated by the boot, with Olly Barkley and Steven Myler exchanging points to set the score at 12-8 to Northampton at half-time.
Barkley and Myler again exchanged points in the second half, with Tom May slotting a drop goal four minutes from time to give the Saints a four-point lead.
Bath attacked the Northampton line in the final minutes, with Olly Barkley over-cooking a grubber kick, but the Saints held out for an 18-15 victory.
