Will Chudley scored the only try of the match late on to secure a 16-6 win for Exeter Chiefs in their Aviva Premiership clash with Bath Rugby this afternoon.
Try-scoring opportunities were at a premium in the first half, but Tom Homer kicked two penalties to ensure that the visitors were ahead at the interval.
Henry Slade quickly levelled the scored in the second half with his second kick of the afternoon, before making it three from three inside the final 15 minutes, putting Exeter ahead for the first time.
Bath tried to create something down the other end, but a missed touch allowed Chiefs to charge back into Bath territory, setting up Chudley for the only try of the day.
The result allows Exeter to move above Bath into third, while the visitors hold on to the final playoff place.
