Full-back Nick Abendanon has admitted that he still has hopes of playing for England in this year's Rugby World Cup.
The 28-year-old starred for Clermont Auvergne in their Champions Cup quarter-final win over Northampton Saints on Saturday, which could put him back in the international frame if England decide to pick players who are based overseas.
He told BBC Sport: "I've always wanted to play more for England. To maybe get the opportunity to join a World Cup squad for a World Cup in England would be an absolute dream come true, but it's not at the forefront of my mind. I can only keep playing well here and maybe wait for a call come the summer."
England coach Stuart Lancaster names his squad on August 31.
