Gloucester have edged a tight match against Exeter Chiefs to move in to the top four in the Aviva Premiership.
Neither side looked like crossing the try line in a scrappy first half.
Gareth Steenson and Freddie Burns each kicked two penalties to see the sides go in level at half time.
Exeter made a messy start to the second half, conceding three early penalties, but the visitors regrouped, and took the lead through a Simon Alcott try.
More mistakes cost the Chiefs, as the home side forced two more penalties, which Burns kicked to put Exeter back in front.
The win means Gloucester climb to fourth, just one point behind Leicester Tigers, while Exeter sit sixth.
