An early try from Ben Ransom helped Saracens to a 16-9 over Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.
Ransom got the visitors off to a strong start with a try just four minutes into the match, before Alex Goode added a couple of penalties in a dominant opening half for Saracens.
Gareth Steenson got the home side back into contention with a penalty shortly after the restart, but missed a further chance to leave the league leaders a converted try ahead.
The home side continued to press for a game-levelling try inside the final 10 minutes, but Saracens' defence held firm to give them the win.
The result leaves Saracens at the top of the table, while Exeter sit fifth, level on points with fourth-placed Bath.
