Gloucester Rugby director of rugby Nigel Davies has admitted that Biarritz Olympique were more clinical following his side's defeat in the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-finals.
Despite a late fightback from Gloucester, the French club made their superiority count at Kingsholm Stadium with a 41-31 triumph.
"What we saw in Biarritz was a very clinical side," Davies told Sky Sports News. "We conceded points just after we scored, and their driving lineout was very strong.
"We tried to create a lot more than them, but we just lacked the intensity of last week, even though we showed a lot of intent. Their opportunities came from broken play."
Gloucester resume their Aviva Premiership campaign on April 12 when they travel to Sale Sharks.
