Bryan Redpath has left his role as head coach of Gloucester with immediate effect.
The club have recently been on a poor run of form that has seen slip down the Aviva Premiership table, something for which Redpath has taken "full responsibility".
"It's a result-driven business we're in and I hold my hand up and take full responsibility for the fact that we've not performed as well as we should have," Redpath said in a statement.
"I've offered my resignation with a heavy heart. But I think it's now someone else's turn to take charge."
Coach Carl Hogg will take charge of the team on an interim basis.
