Gloucester Rugby lost 18-17 as they finished their match against Bath Rugby with just 11 men on the pitch in their Aviva Premiership match.
Billy Twelvetrees kicked the hosts into a lead in the first half, adding three penalties, while George Ford kicked two for Bath.
The second half was marred by poor discipline, as Sila Puafisa was sent off just over 10 minutes after the restart for a high tackle.
The mistake allowed Stuart Hooper to score the opening try of the match, but the visitors were reduced to 10 men themselves shortly after when Dave Attwood was sent to the sin bin.
Errors in the scrum saw Mike Tindall and Huia Edmonds shown yellows inside the last 10 minutes, while Tavis Knoyle picked up Gloucester's second red following a brawl two minutes from full time.
Henry Trinder managed to score a try for Gloucester, but a late penalty try for the visitors handed them the win, moving them five points clear of Harlequins in fourth.
