The boot of Stephen Jones helped London Wasps overcome the challenge of Sale Sharks 25-18 at Adams Park this afternoon.
The Welsh international scored two penalties before the break, while Elliot Daly added a further one with 36 minutes played to take home side's tally up to nine points.
However, Sale stayed in contention at the whistle thanks to a try from Richie Vernon and a penalty from Nick Macleod.
After the break Wasps began to take control of the encounter courtesy of a try from Rhys Thomas, which was duly converted by Jones.
Two further penalties from Jones extended his team's lead, with Nicky Robinson also weighing in with a penalty of his own.
A late try from Johnny Leota proved to be a mere consolation for the away team.
