The London Wasps have survived a strong final 20 minutes from Newcastle Falcons to seal a 17-12 win in the Aviva Premiership this evening.
The visitors took an early lead when a charge from Joe Launchbury set up Sam Jones for the opening try of the match.
The Wasps continued to look the stronger of the two sides and were able to increase their lead after the break when a rolling maul saw Ashley Johnson over the line.
Newcastle pressed hard to get on the board towards the end of the match and eventually managed to find a gap for Noah Cato.
As the Falcons continued to apply pressure in the final moments of the contest, James Haskell was sent to the sin bin, allowing the hosts to add a second try with the final move of the game.
The result moves Wasps up to seventh in the table, while Newcastle remain 10th.
