Northampton Saints hooker Dylan Hartley has been cited over an incident involving Ulster's Rory Best in Friday's Heineken Cup clash between the two sides.
Hartley will face an ERC disciplinary panel after allegedly striking Best with his forearm in Northampton's 25-6 defeat to the Irish outfit.
"Hartley is alleged to have struck Ulster Rugby forward Rory Best with his arm during the second half of the match at Franklin's Gardens," ERC said in a statement.
"Details of the hearing date and the appointed independent judicial officer will be announced shortly."
Hartley recently criticised his side for their performance in the clash.
