Ulster have made it three wins from three in Heineken Cup Pool 4 with a 25-6 victory over Northampton Saints at Franklin's Gardens.
Andrew Trimble's unconverted try got the visitors on their way before Ryan Lamb cut the deficit midway through the first half with a penalty.
Patrick Jackson extended Ulster's lead with a penalty of his own, while a Tommy Bowe try on 33 minutes made the score 13-3 to the Irish side.
Lamb grabbed himself another penalty on the stroke of half time to give Northampton some hope going into the second half.
However, Jared Payne's score, converted by Jackson four minutes after the restart, gave the former champions a comfortable cushion.
The win was confirmed with two minutes left to play thanks to Dan Tuohy's unconverted try.
