Sale Sharks have secured a 15-3 win over London Irish in the Aviva Premiership.
Chances were scarce in the opening 20 minutes in difficult conditions at the AJ Bell Stadium, but Tom Brady managed to open the scoring after picking the ball up from a Danny Cipriani kick forward.
David Seymour extended the home side's advantage shortly before half time following a rolling maul by the team's forwards, but heavy wind and rain meant that Cipriani missed the conversion.
The fly-half added three more points shortly after the restart, but struggled for consistency, missing a penalty and drop goal in the second half.
Ian Humphries kicked the only points of the game for the visitors with just over 10 minutes to play, but the Exiles struggled with ball handling throughout.
The result moves Sale up to eighth in the table, while Irish sit 11th.
