Saracens have moved to the top of their European Rugby Champions Cup pool with a 28-15 win over Sale Sharks this evening.
Owen Farrell gave the hosts the lead early on with a couple of penalties before Alex Goode went over in the corner shortly prior to the break.
Nathan Hines kept the visitors in contention at the interval, though, while Nick Macleod added a penalty in the final minute before half time, leaving the Sharks just three points down.
Ben Ransom and Mako Vunipola both crossed the line in the second half for the hosts as they opened up a commanding lead, while Farrell added another penalty.
Eifion Lewis-Roberts added a late consolation effort for Sale, but it was not enough to avoid them slipping to their fourth defeat of the competition.
