Northampton Saints have taken a win over Worcester Warriors in a closely-fought match in the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.
A scrappy first half saw both sides conceding plenty of penalties, Alex Goode putting four through the uprights for Worcester, compared to three from Stephen Myler for Saints.
Myler squared the scores shortly after the restart, before a further kick for each side saw the sides remain level with 15 minutes left to play.
The home side were reduced to 14 men when Neil Best was shown a yellow card, allowing Samu Manoa to add the opening try of the game.
A strong finish from the visitors saw Northampton force a penalty try, giving them a nine-point cushion inside the last five minutes to take the victory.
