American number one Mardy Fish has advanced through to the third round of the Western & Southern Open with a 6-0 6-2 victory over Nikolay Davydenko.
The world number seven claimed the first set without dropping a single game against his Russian opponent.
Davydenko began the second set brightly, holding his two opening service games.
However, Fish broke the world number 29 during his third service stint and went on to record a comfortable victory.
Fish will face either Kevin Anderson or Richard Gasquet in the next round.
