Maria Sharapova has reached the French Open final for the first time in her career after a straight-sets victory over Petra Kvitova.
The win at Roland Garros has also seen the Russian return to the top of the world rankings.
A dominant Sharapova needed just the one break of serve to clinch the first set 6-3.
It looked to be all over for Kvitova when she dropped a service game in the second, but she broke back for the first time in the match to get herself back in the contest.
However, Sharapova found a decisive second break before seeing out the match 6-3.
The 25-year-old will face Sara Errani in Sunday's final after the Italian defeated Samantha Stosur.
