Novak Djokovic insists that his ongoing shoulder problem is not currently giving him too much pain.

World number one Novak Djokovic has insisted that he is no longer suffering with the shoulder injury that has plagued him in recent weeks.

The problem forced Djokovic to withdraw from a tournament in Basel last week, leading many to question whether he would be competing at the ongoing Paris Masters.

However, the Serbian shrugged off the complaint to defeat Ivan Dodig in round two in the French capital earlier today.

After the match, Djokovic revealed that having some time off helped him prepare for the tournament.

"I feel good," Djokovic told Sky Sports News. "I didn't know what to expect after Basel. I wasn't confident that I would be able to compete [in Paris].

"I took a couple of days off which helped. I know that I haven't played at the top of my game today, but I thought I was good enough.

"The pain isn't that strong."

Djokovic will now face fellow Serb Viktor Troicki in round three.
