World number two Andy Murray has described his first-round performance at Wimbledon as "okay", having eliminated Liam Broady.

The British number one overcame his compatriot 6-2 6-3 6-4 to set up a second-round clash with Lu Yen-Hsun.

However, despite the straightforward nature of the victory, Murray had mixed emotions about how he played in the SW19 opener.

"I served pretty well. Offensively I thought I did some good stuff. Maybe defensively I could have done a little bit better," he told reporters.

"But the first match is always tricky. Obviously Liam... we've never played each before although we've practised a lot and it's not that easy playing someone you know so well, but I did okay."

Meanwhile, top seed Novak Djokovic will continue his campaign against Adrian Mannarino tomorrow.
