AC Milan edged out Parma with a 3-1 win at the San Siro this evening to end a run of three consecutive defeats.
Christian Zaccardo added to two Jeremy Menez goals for the Rossoneri to render Antonio Nocerino's first-half equaliser meaningless.
Menez gave Milan the lead from the penalty spot after Cristian Rodriguez was judged to have handled inside the area.
However, the visitors responded less than 10 minutes later when Nocerino lost debutant Salvatore Bocchetti at the back post to poke home from a delivery into the box.
Alex went close when his low free kick cannoned off the post and Adil Rami blazed the rebound high over the bar as Milan searched for the lead once more.
Rami was fortunate to escape when he was caught in possession by Nocerino five minutes before the break, and the French defender had goalkeeper Diego Lopez to thank for making the save.
Menez claimed his second of the evening shortly before the hour mark when he fired an effort into the bottom corner after good work from Alessio Cerci to find his teammate.
Zaccardo made it 3-1 with around 15 minutes remaining when he steered home from Menez's cut-back, and that was enough to seal the points for the hosts.
