AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly set to pen a new one-year deal with the Rossoneri.
The 39-year-old has previously talked up the prospect of a new deal at San Siro, where he has scored 17 goals in 24 appearances across all competitions during the 2020-21 season.
Given his age and recent injury problems, there was originally some uncertainty as to whether Ibrahimovic would remain with the Serie A giants for another year, but the veteran appears to be nearing a decision on his future.
According to Sky Italia, Ibrahimovic has agreed a new one-year contract in principle with Milan, and he will put pen to paper on a new deal within the next seven to 10 days.
The report adds that the Sweden international will continue to pocket €7m (£5.94m) per year at San Siro, and his new deal will see him continue to ply his trade in Italy's top flight after his 40th birthday.
The Rossoneri are also negotiating fresh terms with Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, but talks with the latter have supposedly hit a standstill due to his wage demands. body check tags ::
