Former Spain international Raul has insisted that Lionel Messi will have his work cut out when his Argentina side face the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the World Cup this evening.
The Dutch have already defeated holders Spain and Chile, as well as Mexico and then Costa Rica on penalties to reach the final four.
In contrast, the Argentines have flattered to deceive, with a heavy reliance on Messi. However, without the injured Angel di Maria for support, Raul believes that Messi may find it difficult to get the better of Louis van G aal's side.
"Messi's Barcelona teammates were in for a rude shock against the Netherlands in their first match in the group. Four more trips down the road, the Dutch are looking sharper and hungrier," Raul told The Times of India.
"They will face Messi now, who won't have Angel di Maria by his side. It's going to be a Himalayan task for the world's best player, to take his team to the final on his own."
The Netherlands have won two of their four previous World Cup clashes with their Argentine counterparts.
