Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Mallorca.
Sports Mole

Barcelona will be aiming to bounce back from a shock home defeat to Las Palmas in La Liga when they continue their 2024-25 campaign away to Mallorca on Tuesday night.

The Catalan outfit suffered a 2-1 loss to Las Palmas on Saturday, with the result leaving them on 34 points from 15 matches, two points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid at the top of the La Liga table.

Barcelona are now winless in their last three league fixtures, though, picking up only one point in the process, and there will be pressure on Hansi Flick's side to bounce back in this contest.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Mallorca, who will enter the clash off the back of a 2-1 success over Valencia.

Alejandro Balde

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Neck
Possible return date: December 3 (vs. Mallorca)

Balde had to be replaced in the first period of the clash with Las Palmas on Saturday after suffering a suspected neck injury in a collision with Sandro Ramirez, but the defender is expected to be cleared to take to the field against Mallorca.

Ronald Araujo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: December 15 (vs. Leganes)

Araujo will again miss out for Barcelona here, but the centre-back has revealed that he is making excellent progress in his recovery from a hamstring operation, with his return set to come before the winter break.

Andreas Christensen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: Unknown

Christensen remains on the treatment table with an Achilles problem, and it has been reported that the Denmark international has had a setback in his recovery, with the defender set to be missing for at least another couple of months.

Marc Bernal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Bernal suffered an ACL injury against Rayo Vallecano in the league earlier this term, and he is out for the season, with the youngster working to be ready for pre-season ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Barcelona will be missing their number one goalkeeper Ter Stegen for the remainder of the season due to the serious knee injury that he suffered in the clash with Villarreal on September 22.

Ansu Fati

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Barcelona revealed last week that Fati had picked up a thigh problem during a training session, and the attacker now faces a battle to be available before the winter break in Spain.

BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no players suspended for the La Liga clash, with Marc Casado available after serving a one-game ban in the clash with Las Palmas last time out.
