Sebastian Rode believes that Bayern Munich produced a "nearly perfect" showing throughout the group stages of this season's Champions League.
Having already qualified for the last 16 in first place, the Bavarians signed off with a 3-0 victory over CSKA Moscow to finish four points clear of their Group E rivals Manchester City.
Rode scored his first goal in the competition with a late header but while he is delighted to get off the mark, the youngster has insisted that securing victory was more important.
He is quoted by UEFA.com as saying: "The first goal in the Champions League is always something special, but it's more important that we won this match.
"Moscow played very defensively and we wasted some good chances. It was a nearly perfect group stage; it's a pity that we lost at Manchester City. Now we are looking forward to the draw of the last 16 on Monday."
Bayern are joined in the last 16 by City, who beat Roma 2-0 to progress.
