Besiktas will face fellow Istanbul opposition on Monday and the hosts will be aiming to extend their unbeaten league run to nine matches when they welcome Istanbul Basaksehir to Vodafone Park.
Meanwhile, the visitors will be looking for a response after a run of four consecutive victories was ended by Fatih Karagumruk last weekend.
Match preview
Sixth-placed Besiktas are firmly in the hunt for a top-four finish and a victory on Monday would see them leapfrog Istanbul Basaksehir in the league table.
The Black Eagles claimed back-to-back league victories last weekend, with a Michy Batshuayi brace and a Rachid Ghezzal strike helping Besiktas to a 3-2 victory over Sivasspor.
Although, it has not been all plain sailing for Monday's hosts, who were eliminated from the Turkish Cup by Kayserispor in midweek.
Mario Gavranovic opened the scoring for Kayserispor before Valentin Rosier pulled Besiktas level, but Miguel Cardoso's second-half strike ensured that the Black Eagles would depart the competition at the quarter-final stage.
Despite the midweek cup exit, Onder Karaveli will be confident of guiding his side to victory on Monday, especially as they boast an impressive home record after winning nine of their 12 home league games this season.
Istanbul Basaksehir saw a run of four consecutive victories come to an end last weekend as they were edged out in their away contest with Fatih Karagumruk.
Despite losing, Istanbul Basaksehir did take the lead in their last outing, with Trezeguet grabbing the opener, but goals from Fabio Borini and Ahmed Musa gave Fatih Karagumuruk the advantage at half time.
With no further goals in the contest, the points went home with Fatih Karagumuruk, but Monday's visitors still occupy third place ahead of the meeting with Besiktas.
The visitors have proven to be a tough team to beat on their travels in recent times, losing just one of their previous nine league games.
They will also aim to draw inspiration from the 3-2 victory that they achieved over Besiktas in the reverse fixture in October.

Team News
Josef de Souza, Miralem Pjanic, Oguzhan Ozyakup and Georges-Kevin N'Koudou are all set to miss out due to injury issues.
Ridvan Yilmaz returned to the squad in midweek, and the full-back could be in line for a place in the starting lineup on Monday.
Meanwhile, the forward line will be led by Batshuayi, who has scored 11 league goals this season.
As for the visitors, they are without Youssouf Ndayishimiye and Mahmut Tekdemir, who are missing through injury.
Since joining in January, Trezeguet has scored three goals and picked up one assist in his three appearances, and the Aston Villa loanee will be a key player for the visitors on Monday.
Stefano Okaka returned from suspension to start last weekend, and he will retain his place in the forward line for the meeting with Besiktas.
Besiktas possible starting lineup:
Destanoglu; Kalafat, Welinton, Montero, Yilmaz; Uysal, Hutchinson; Larin, Teixeira, Ghezzal; Batshuayi
Istanbul Basaksehir possible starting lineup:
Babacan; Caicara, Epureanu, Duarte, Kaldirim; Gurler, Pizzi, Cigerci, Ozcan, Trezeguet; Okaka
We say: Besiktas 2-1 Istanbul Basaksehir
Istanbul Basaksehir were victorious in the reverse fixture between the two sides, but Besiktas will have home advantage in their favour on Monday, and we think that the hosts will edge out the visitors to clinch their 10th home league victory of the season.
