Blackburn Rovers defender Gael Givet was substituted during his side's 2-1 loss to Sunderland earlier today because of concerns regarding his high heart rate.
The Frenchman has suffered with the problem throughout his career and as a result he was not taken to hospital.
Instead, his condition will be closely monitored by the club's medical staff over the next few days.
Givet joined Rovers in 2009 from French club Marseille.
