Kevin Grosskreutz believes that the number of changes to Borussia Dortmund's starting lineup may have influenced their performance against Anderlecht.
The Black and Yellows had looked set to finish their Group D campaign with a victory after Ciro Immobile had given the hosts the lead at the Westfalenstadion.
However, Aleksandar Mitrovic's header earned the Belgian side a point and Grosskreutz has admitted that BVB struggled to perform.
He is quoted by UEFA.com as saying: "We didn't play a good match, it took a long time until we came into this match, but we had a lot of changes before this match.
"I am happy that we have many players coming back from injuries right now."
Borussia travel to Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday, with the former champions only one point above the relegation zone.
