Sean Dyche has said that Burnley did not perform "up to our standards" after seeing his side throw away a two-goal lead in a 3-2 loss to Crystal Palace this afternoon.
Goals from Ben Mee and Danny Ings gave the Clarets a 2-0 lead after just 17 minutes, but they were unable to hold on as Alan Pardew continued his 100% record in charge of Palace.
"I'm disappointed with the performance," Dyche told BBC Sport shortly after the final whistle. "It wasn't up to our standards. Even at 2-0 I didn't think we were operating in the right manner.
"It's a big learning curve for the players because you can't come away from your performance levels.
"There are many lessons. The simple one is if you're not on top of your game for every minute, you get hurt. There were some good signs but generally we didn't operate in the way we're used to."
The result means that Burnley are just one point ahead of 18th-placed Hull City.
