Cardiff City have slipped to a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Queens Park Rangers in Sunday's Championship clash at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The visitors were first to threaten when Grant Hall got his head onto Ben Gladwin's corner in the fifth minute, but the ball flew over the bar.
Both sides came close on a number of occasions in the first half, with Cardiff's Frederic Gounongbe blasting wide and QPR's Sebastian Polter also threatening, but the whistle blew with neither side getting on the scoresheet.
With the game on a knife edge going into the latter stages, the deadlock ended up being broken by the R's, Jake Bidwell's free kick being nodded home by Steven Caulker.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's charges then made sure of the win with five minutes to play as Tjaronn Chery converted a penalty after Polter was brought down in the area.
