England manager Gareth Southgate is reportedly set to call Conor Gallagher up to the senior squad for Monday's World Cup 2022 qualifying clash with San Marino.
The 21-year-old is thriving on loan at Crystal Palace from Chelsea this term and has four goals and two assists to his name from 10 Premier League appearances under Patrick Vieira.
Gallagher missed out on a place in England's senior squad for November's fixtures, instead playing 89 minutes of the Under-21s Euro qualifying win over the Czech Republic earlier this week.
However, football.london reports that Southgate now plans to call Gallagher up to the senior team for their final game of Group I - an away clash with basement boys San Marino.
The report adds that Gallagher will take part in Sunday's training session with the first team before he eyes his debut for Southgate's team against the microstate.
The Three Lions sit three points clear of Poland at the top of their World Cup Qualifying group and simply need to avoid defeat against the world's 210th-ranked nation to book their spot in Qatar.
